Welcome to the home of Addie's Hatties. I have been painting hats since 2009. I decided to paint six hats (pictured above) and bring them to a music festival to try to sell them and make back the money for the price of my ticket. Although I did not succeed in that, I did make my first two sales. I was ecstatic at the idea of someone purchasing and loving my art. I was so happy to see the person who bought that first hat wearing it around the festival. I love the idea of wearable art, and ever since that first trial, I continued to paint hats. I have painted all kinds of subject matter on hats drawn from many inspirations. Some of my main inspirations are music, people, nature, art and literature. All of the hats I paint are one of a kind. I started taking custom orders after people saw my hats around in the Chicago music scene. I love the creative ideas that people have for hats. I continued to take custom orders in person and on facebook until around 2014, when I took a break from custom orders. I ventured out to experiment in painting other wearable items like jackets, shoes, purses and other accessories. After moving across the country to the west coast and Las Vegas, I moved back to the Chicago area and now live in Carpentersville, Illinois. I have started to sell my art at farmers markets and festivals again. I no longer have any social media pages, however I am once again taking custom orders for painted hats! If you are interested in purchasing a cutsom hat please see the "Custom Order" page. I also have hats and other painted items available for purchase in my Etsy shop. Thank you for visiting and thank you for the continued support throughout the years, allowing me to live and work freely as an artist!
